Using low light cinematography and HDR multi exposure time-lapse, Spectral Media captured sequences of Noctiluca Scintillans Bioluminescent Phytoplankton, glow worms and bioluminescent fungi.

Subject research, location scouting, film permits and location services were managed by Spectral Media for Tasmanian shoots.

This programme has won Best Nature Documentary at the Cannes Corporate Media and TV Awards, a Bafta nomination for Best Specialist Factual and an Emmy nomination for outstanding cinematography.
